Moni Aizik’s journey into the realm of martial arts began at the tender age of 8, immersing himself in the rigorous disciplines of Jujutsu, Judo, and boxing. His exceptional skills quickly catapulted him to seven national titles in the highly competitive landscape of Israel. Recognizing his extraordinary talents, the Israeli government granted Aizik special privileges during his military service, leading him to join the elite Israeli Special Forces Commandos, specializing in counter-terrorism and intelligence operations.
INNOVATING HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT
Post the Yom Kippur War, Aizik turned his attention to the intricacies of existing hand-to-hand combat methods within the Israeli military. Driven by a vision to create a system accessible to individuals of all sizes and strengths, he seamlessly synthesized his experiences as an elite athlete and special forces operative. The result was the birth of Commando Krav Maga (CKM), a system that emphasized simplicity, proper biomechanics, and adaptability, setting it apart as a high-stress survival system.
MARTIAL ARTS MASTERY
Transitioning from military service, Moni Aizik founded Maccabi Tel Aviv, a prestigious training school in Israel. His students achieved numerous national titles across various martial arts styles. Aizik’s relentless pursuit of excellence led him to Japan, where he refined his skills under the tutelage of technical masters and world champions such as Isao Okano and Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki. Among his notable proteges are Avi Nardia, a distinguished counter-terrorism instructor, and Yael Arad, Israel’s first Olympic and World medalist.
